Wonderful Philadelphia

Well, this past week I have been out in Pennsylvania with Siri and her kids. She needed an extra hand with the kids going back from Utah, so I told her I would come out with her, and it has been a blast and crazy!

The first couple days, we just relaxed being home, went for a drive to Valley Forge and got some groceries to prepare for Hurricane Irene! We got to PA just two days before it would hit, so we had to get stocked on water and some food in case the power went out. I am terrified of natural disasters, but I was having so much fun standing out in the rain the night the hurricane was passing through. I love rain, and it was quite relaxing being out there. There was so much water, you would walk out for just a second and be completely drenched. Why waste water when you can take a shower in a hurricane? I never did, but you could have if you really wanted to. The next day on our way to church, everything was flooded. We were lucky and didn't have any power outage or flooding. It was pretty insane seeing everything covered in water! Addie then started her first day of school in kindergarten. We also went into Philladelphia to see the Rocky statue and climb the stairs that were in the movie. It was fun, but dang was it super hot and humid. Yesterday, we went to Ocean City in New Jersey and played on the beach and surprisingly enough, I got in the ocean! It took probably ten or so minutes for me to get in, but I really wanted to go body boarding. Just as I was feeling comfortable enough, but still uneasy, I hear Siri screaming and pointing behind me, so I start freaking out it is a shark and start swimming out of the ocean as fast as I could and when I got out, she was telling me there were dolphins behind me. They were jumping out, doing flips and cheering me on that I finally got in the water. It was so cool to see! It has been so great being out here again and hope to come back soon!

Hello Irene
I highly enjoyed the heavy rain
The street is flooded!
And I'm soaked
Golf coarse is under water
That is a road under water
That pond, wasn't there before
It was a beautiful day after the hurricane
so Addie and I did some chalk drawings
Go Cougars!
Before I got in, I was warming up to just
the water touching me
Hard to see, but there is a dolphin

Visiting from Pennsylvania!

This last month, Siri and the kids come over to visit and was able to stay long enough to see our missionary get home! I had to work everyday that they were here, but there were days that I would get off to spend as much time with them as I could before we leave for Philadelphia.
I was able to join Siri and the kids one day and take them to the rink and another day, the slides. It was good being able to see them play at the water park and slide down them myself with the kids. Last Wednesday, my mom, Siri and I took the kids to the Hogle Zoo. It has changed a lot since the last time I was there and it was quite enjoyable to see the new dinosaur additions.

After the slides, Addie and Connor decided to
cover their faces with cotton candy
I love giraffes

Aiden is so dang adorable! I'm so glad I'm his

It has been an eventful month. Quite exciting too, having Clint back and all. I can't wait to leave for Pennsylvania on Wednesday though. I love the east coast, and may be tempted to move out there after I get done with my Radiology Tech program. I was going to do an EMT program, but after talking to my brother a month or so ago, who is a certified EMT, I don't want to deal with people possibly throwing up on me, so I'd rather do the RAD tech. I'll be applying in October and going to sign up for the prerequisite class in September and hopefully get another job in a hospital so I can get some kind of experience covered.
