I have been wanting to write a post on this certain subject for awhile now and haven't gotten to it till now.
Just about a two months ago, I started getting together my year supply of food storage. Early March, I finished with my food and also got a tent and sleeping back for myself. Since it is now Spring, I have rolled up and put away my coats, jackets and boots already to go in a box. The only thing I am working on getting now is a year supply of clothing. I have continually been losing weight so all the clothes I have now are getting to be too big on me, and need to get new clothes I can have and will last for a year.

I have had a few people ask me why I have been getting my food storage or why bother doing it, or because I'm doing it because it's "2012". I am doing it because it is a commandment from the prophets to obtain a year supply of food, clothes and be debt-free. How the world is now is a huge sign that the last days, truly are near. Yes, we have been warned for years and years, but look what is happening in our country. Corrupted government, secret combinations plotting to rise against the government, etc. In the world, Israel may be going to war soon which could possibly cause another World War. The days that I have read about in the Bible and the Book of Mormon are happening now. I know I don't want to be around for all that chaos. All I know what I'm supposed to be doing is following the prophet's counsel.

I don't know exactly how everything will turn out, but I do know that those that are prepared, will know when and if it is time to leave to a "place of safety." I know, and believe everything that I have read and heard are true. I have peace of mind having my food storage knowing I am doing the right thing.
