Visiting Pennsylvania... Again!

I need to be a better blogger than putting only a few posts here and there. The last time I posted was in December, and quite frankly, there was a lot going on then. I'll try to do better this year.Anyway, just recently, I went back out to Pennsylvania to visit during Connor and Aiden's birthdays in February. It was a lot of fun being out there for a third time! We always do something different when I am there and this time around, like any other time before, was great!
Second day after being there, we all went to Max Brenner
(my new favorite restaurant)
Then, we went to the aquarium in Camden, NJ
Shark petting

Aiden loved looking at all the fish
 ...really?

I got claustrophobic in the shark area here
The sting rays loved to be pet

 And here's Philly!

Tyson (my boyfriend) sent me a Valentine's
He's so sweet :)
Aiden liked the Valentine's chocolate too
Here we all are on a ferry heading to New York!
 Mmmm... Subway
On a subway heading to Ground Zero

The tall building on the right is one of the new
Trade Center's.
Around the city noise, it was quite peaceful here as
if we weren't around a city at all
 Isn't he cute?

 Central Park!
The kids loved playing in the park
At Central Park

After leaving the park, I felt so bad that
Aiden was cold, so I cuddled him in a blanket
and carried him to Times Square
 Times Square
Here, we are in Toys R' Us
It was huge!

That door shut and almost 1] left me and
2] cut my arm and hand off. Luckily a girl
pried open the door and saved me

 Goodbye New York City
We then took the kids to the Please Touch
Museum

There were different things and sections for the kids
to play in.

Aiden and I wondered off to the
Alice in Wonderland section

It was definitely a lot of fun being out there again. We did a lot more things out there that didn't need pictures or anything. I can't wait to head out there again! This time, we will probably go to the beach when I go out in July.

Jon Schmidt

Well on Tuesday, I was able to attend Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson's concert at the Egyptian Theater. And let me tell you, it was AMAZING and so much fun being able to go again! I went with a boy that used be in my ward (Tyson). He bought the tickets a week before and really, how could I have said no? Ha. But it was a lot of fun altogether. We would have walked around the Ogden lights, but I was dying in the cold just walking from the car! So maybe another time.
They were both so funny. Steven was telling the crowd how while he travels to different parts of the world for Christmas, he can't play the Christmas songs how they traditionally sound. So he picked a few places to give us an example, and it was pretty funny to hear the different (goofy I should say) sounds of the songs he and Jon played. Sometime after, they did a live video for their weekly video they post. They played "Where Are You Christmas" and before they ended the song, Jon Schmidt's daughter came out and sang a verse.
All Of Me
Hopefully I will be able to visit him again next year. I always enjoy his concerts and have so much fun! After going, I have been practicing up on my piano. I enjoy it, but I have no patience when it comes to sight reading. I hope to get Renaissance Hymn him learned and finished soon so I can play it in church one day. The only thing I have a difficult time with are the octaves throughout most of the song, but practice makes perfect.

Fill Your Life With Service

Utah weather is very interesting. One minute it will be sunny and warm, the next it will be rainy or stormy then back to wonderful weather in a twenty minute period. Well, the other day we had a very windy storm with speeds that were considered to be as fast as a category two hurricane. The next day, we lost three pine trees. Two fell in the back and one in the front fell on my mom's car. Luckily the tree didn't break any windows or make any dents. Throughout Layton, there were so many trees that had been uprooted from the ground, roof shingles ripped off, fences destroyed, etc.
We are supposed to be getting another windy storm/blizzard tonight, so my ward only had sacrament for twenty five minutes so that we could go out help load all the debris and chopped down trees and take everything to the dump. It has been so much fun helping out.

"Kindness, love, patience, understanding, and unity will increase as we serve, while intolerance, jealousy, envy, greed, and selfishness decrease or disappear. The more we give of ourselves, the more our capacity to serve, understand, and love will grow." -- Carlos H. Armado
"The most cherished and sacred moments of our lives are those filled with the spirit of love. The greater the measure of our love, the greater is our joy. In the end, the development of such love is the true measure of success in life." -- Joseph B. Wirthlin
I absolutley love service. To be the one that brings happiness to families in need is just a wonderful feeling and makes you truly appreciate things you have in your life.
